Film for Art's sake! But first, allow me to introduce myself.

I'm Lillian Campbell,  an editor, writer, and art department junkie. My favorite films—a burning question I'm sure you had for me—include Everything Everywhere All At Once, A Ghost Story, and The Muppet Christmas Carol. I actually came to UVU in 2021 intent on becoming an author. I'd always loved telling stories and was getting good enough for people to notice; I was awarded English Sterling Scholar at the high school level my senior year. But after my first film class, I realized I had been writing every short story and every book in the secret hope it would eventually get translated to the screen.

Nowadays, I try to pour my passion for this incredible medium into everything I do. I can't imagine myself pursuing a career that doesn't involve film (yikes! hope I'm not tempting fate for this portfolio review) and I believe this program has done a wonderful job preparing me for that kind of future.

My realistic dream is to graduate with a Bachelor's in Digital Cinema Production (Post-Production track), a minor in Writing Entertainment Media, and to write and/or edit at least two decent narrative films before that point. After that, I hope to make enough money editing other people's projects and doing HMU on-set that I can do a afford a few films of my own.

My unrealistic dream—since I think everyone ought to have one—is to make something that people believe is worth watching and remembering: something I can proudly call "art."

My Work

I enjoy being a jack-of-all-trades. The main roles I take are writer, editor, HMU artist, and production designer.
